The Multi Lay Calculator is for laying a bet with multiple parts where only one of the possible outcomes can win.
A good example is this bet on Scottie Scheffler or Cameron Smith to win the 2023 Masters golf tournament.

Because a maximum of one of these two outcomes can win, we can lay this bet in two parts as below:

The reason we can only use this calculator for outcomes where a maximum of one of the lay bets can win is that each lay bet offsets the liability of the other. In the example above if Scottie Scheffler wins the tournament the lay bet on Cameron Smith will win. If Cameron Smith wins the tournament the lay bet on Scottie Scheffler will win. The calculator takes this into account when working out what your final return would be. We cannot use this calculator for bets such as the one below because both of these events could happen so the lay bets would not offset:
